Don’t know why our scout go watch Nashville game. Because the team expect to make the playoff, and I don’t see the Preds give something interesting apart draft pick. I expect a 3rnd or 4rnd for Tierney and a 4rnd or 5 rnd for Sanford |

Just because a team is slated to make the playoffs, doesn't mean you don't go watch. There are trades done with 3 teams, sometimes for salary cap reasons so at team can get under the cap. It doesn't always mean a one for one trade.
I don't know if anyone would be willing to give a 3rd for Tierney the way he's playing now. Sanford, you get one good game for every 10 games that he's a passenger. Frustrating player to watch.

Just saw that, was out with the kids. Great to have his speed and skill back tonight against the Oilers!

This tweet by Shawm Simpson at TSN1200 yesterday, had fans reacting!
Sens and coach not overly high on Brannstrom, and at this point the player must be more than aware.
Then Detroit calls, and suddenly the minutes are up. They sure like Swedes, and might let him play the right side.
I have no idea if Detroit has interest, but this happens. |

If you try to quote something from your original text then add in another reply to the quote, it will pick up the last quote on here, it wont pick up 2 previous quotes....unless you copy and paste them both!

Lets let him play every game until the trade deadline and see if he fits in long term or if the team should flip him out for something they need on the team.

Why not send the VP of Player Development, not quite in His Job Resume but it gets Him away from the Team. Pierre's a bird dog from way back, He can sniff out any talent You might be looking at in a trade. |

Not a huge fan of the idea that players can be developed beyond their skills and heart.
You could, for example go the other way and focus how great the Sens have been in developing Norris, Chabot, Tkachuk and especially Batherson.
Certainly a team can provide a positive environment and challenge for growth. But, in the end it is really about how much skill and heart each individual player puts into the game. |

Norris and Batherson were developed by Mann in Belleville, which is why I have issues with some youth not progressing properly after they get to Ottawa due to DJ's ways. Tkachuk was developed here but Chabot spent that first part of his rookie year in AHL and back/forth with Ottawa too.
Yes, agreed on each player is different and how it depends on who wants it the most as they say! |

Oh yes I hear ya! I would love to get anything for either of them at this point. PD giving another extension to a player like Tierney and Ottawa on the hook for his salary this year.

Speaking of Belleville, Sokolov with the big goal in OT tonight!
Looking forward to some Sens hockey tonight. Although don't know if i'll stay up for the whole game. I'm getting old.
